Shanna Kirsty Yates (SKY) was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1979. She earned a Liberal Arts degree from Tufts University and has a Masters of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Her work is founded in the narrative of the human condition and seeks ways of seeing and moving beyond it. She employs various mediums including painting, photography, video and sculpture. She lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
